BERLIN | GERMANY, 15 JANUARY 2026

Germany will deploy 13 Bundeswehr soldiers to Greenland as part of a reconnaissance mission from Jan. 15 to 17, the Defence Ministry said. The mission, at the request of Denmark and with other European partners, aims to explore potential military contributions to support security in the region.
