September 11 Anniversary
New York, USA | September 11, 2025

The United States will observe the 24th anniversary of 9/11 with several commemoration ceremonies on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2025. Family members of victims will once again gather to read aloud the names of those killed in the 9/11 attacks in New York City.

On Sept. 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 people were killed as 19 al-Qaida hijackers seized control of four jetliners, sending two of the planes into New York’s World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and the fourth into a field in western Pennsylvania. It remains the deadliest terror attack in history.

The White House has not yet announced plans for President Donald Trump but he is expected to mark the attacks at the Pentagon and in New York City.
