From 31 August to 1 September 2025, China will host leaders from more than 20 countries for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's annual summit in Tianjin. The SCO counts China, Russia and Kazakhstan amongst its members.
Eurovision News Events will be providing a live stand-up position and POOL signal from the summit.

Tianjin, China | August 31 - September 1, 2025
Leaders from an international group founded to counter Western alliances will meet in Tianjin, China August 31 to September 1, with Moscow and Beijing expected to announce even closer cooperation.
Russia's President Vladimir Putin is expected to attend the 24th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, established in 2001 by Moscow and Beijing.
Putin is also expected to hold bilateral talks with Chinese leader Xi Jinping and attend a military parade in Beijing marking 80 years since Japan's surrender during World War II.
