UN Conference on Two-State Solution
New York, USA | June 17-20, 2025

France and other European countries are moving toward recognizing a Palestinian state, and could do so as early as June when France and Saudi Arabia co-host an international conference about implementing a two-state solution.

The conference will take place from June 17 to 20 at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

The US is urging European countries including the UK and France against recognizing a Palestinian state. Nearly 150 countries currently recognize the State of Palestine, which has observer status at the United Nations but is not a full member.
