Launch of Voluntary Return Initiative A number of civil society organizations in Omdurman will launch tomorrow, Monday, the Voluntary Return Initiative to the capital of Gezira State, Wad Madani. Hundreds of displaced Sudanese have returned to Wad Madani, the capital of Gezira State, after the Supreme Security Committee of Gezira State issued a program to organize the voluntary return of Wad Madani citizens to their city after the army advanced and announced its control over it. The initiative aims in its first phase tomorrow to relocate more than 500 citizens to their homes in Gezira State in central Sudan. As a result of the war and the repeated attacks of the Rapid Support Forces on the villages of Gezira State, about 5 million citizens were displaced from their homes before they began to return to them again after the army extended its control over them
