Emergency Arab Summit
Cairo, Egypt | March 4, 2025
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that it will host an emergency Arab summit on March 4, to discuss “new and dangerous developments” after U.S. President Donald Trump proposed to resettle Palestinians from the Gaza strip.
Egypt is developing a plan to rebuild Gaza without forcing Palestinians out of the strip in a counter to Trump’s proposal to depopulate the territory so the U.S. can take it over.
Trump said the United States would take over the Gaza Strip and rebuild it into a “Riviera of the Middle East,” though Palestinians would not be allowed back.
