BRICS Summit
Johannesburg, South Africa | Aug 22-24, 2023

South Africa will host the 15th BRICS summit in Johannesburg from 22nd - 24th August, 2023.

Vladimir Putin has agreed not to attend the economic summit that will include China’s premier and other world leaders because of an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court for the Russian president.

The development could be viewed as embarrassing for Putin, who is now expected to be the only leader of a country in the bloc not to attend.

Facilities Available:
Worldwide transmission via IP with onward distribution using AP's global satellite and fiber network.

Media accreditation is required for AP's live position inside the summit. Will not be required for balcony position overlooking the summit and city skyline.
