Kushayb appears In front of the International Criminal Court

Kushayb has denied 31 accusations of genocide, crimes against humanity, murder, rape and torture
At the beginning of the session, the judge opened by talking about the conflict in Darfur and the war that took place there, and talked about the government's use of the Janjaweed militias, in which Kushayb is accused of being a leader.
The Public Prosecutor of the Criminal Court listed the facts of the accusation against Kushayb and settled all the accusations against Kushayb and cited the statements of witnesses in the case, United Nations reports and videos revealing the nature of the conflict that took place in Darfur in the year 2003
Kushayb’s trial comes two years after he voluntarily surrendered himself to the branch of the court in the Central African country, after he managed to escape from Sudan in the year 2020 and was transferred to the detention center in the city of “Lahay ” in the Netherlands.
The second hearing for Kushayb is scheduled to take place next Thursday, amid the Sudanese community's follow-up to the sessions, especially after the Sudanese state television broadcast the proceedings of the sessions via the direct service.
