Trump Impeachment Trial
Washington, DC | 9 February - onwards

Former President Donald Trump's impeachment trial in the U.S. Senate will begin as scheduled on February 9th. The House of Representatives impeached him January 13, just a week after the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol in which five people died.

It's unclear if any Republicans will vote to convict Trump on the actual charge of incitement. All but five Senate Republicans voted in favor of an effort to dismiss Trump's historic second impeachment trial this week, making clear a conviction is unlikely.
