Eastern Partnership Summit and European Council
15 - 16/12/2021
BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

The Eastern Partnership Summit will take place on 15 December and the European Council will take place on 16 December at the Europa building in Brussels.

Charles Michel, President of the European Council, will chair the Eastern Partnership Summit and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, will represent the EU.

The eastern partners present at the summit will comprise Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. Belarus has suspended its participation in the Eastern Partnership but the EU continues to cooperate with the people of Belarus.

At the European Council on 16 December EU leaders will discuss developments related to COVID-19, crisis management and resilience, energy prices, security and defence, external aspects of migration and the situation in Belarus. The meeting is likely to start at 10.00 am and will be followed by a press conference.
