U.S. Senate Runoff and Electoral Vote Protest
VARIOUS CITIES IN THE UNITED STATES, UNITED STATES
The balance of power in the U.S. Senate hangs on the outcome of two runoff elections in Georgia, taking place on 5 January. On the following day, several pro-Trump protests are planned around Washington, D.C. as Congress convenes to certify the Electoral College votes which will confirm Joe Biden's victory. Some Republican lawmakers in both the House and Senate plan to object to the certification. It is unlikely the move will have any effect as both chambers need to agree and Democrats currently control the House.
Eurovision will offer live standups from Atlanta, Georgia and in Washington, D.C.
