Knife Attack in Nice

NICE, FRANCE
A large-scale police operation is underway in Nice after a knife attack at Notre-Dame Basilica in the city which killed three people and wounded several others. French Interior Minister, Gerald Darmanin, has confirmed that he will chair a crisis meeting today to deal with the attack. According to a police spokesman, at least one of the victims was beheaded in the attack, which took place during morning mass. The attacker was taken to hospital after he was shot by police.
