BERLIN, GERMANY
EU leaders will meet in Berlin on 16 November 2020 to discuss EU-China relations. President Macron of France and other EU leaders expressed concern over the human rights situation in China at the recent UN General Assembly. An EU leaders foreign policy summit expressed “serious concerns” about the rights of minorities in mainland China and the situation in Hong Kong. The final communiqué of the summit also stressed the need to “rebalance the economic relationship and achieve reciprocity” with China.
