Mayflower 400th Anniversary
Plymouth, UK | 16 September 2020
Commemorations will be held to mark the 400th anniversary of the voyage of the Mayflower at Plymouth port, UK on September 16th. The Mayflower ship took pioneers from England to a new life in America in 1620. Over 30 million US citizens are thought to have descended from the original passengers of the vessel.
The tribute involves four nations: the U.S., Britain, the Netherlands, where the Puritan pilgrims lived in exile before their voyage, and the Wampanoag.
The event will also unveil a new Mayflower Autonomous ship (MAS) that next year will retrace the transatlantic journey.
