President Vladimir Putin announced on Tuesday that Moscow's Gamaleya Institute has, after only two months of human trials, registered the world's first COVID-19 vaccine. He added that one of his daughters has already received the vaccine. This will make Russia the first country to begin mass production and immunisation.
