NEW LOCKDOWN IN GERMAN DISTRICT GÜTERSLOH
After a massive corona outbreak at a slaughterhouse in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, NRW State Premier Armin Laschet announced on Tuesday a new lockdown for the district Gütersloh until the end of June.
On Wednesday evening 2,054 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 7,000 people have been sent into quarantine.

Gütersloh Coronavirus Outbreak

Germany has ordered a new lockdown in North Rhein-Westphalia affecting more than 400,000 people, after a new outbreak of Coronavirus infections. The outbreak is centred on a meat processing plant near the city of Gütersloh. More than 1500 workers at the Tonnies meat processing plant have so far tested positive for the virus. State authorities have said that police deployments will be used to ensure that the quarantine measures are respected..
