BEIJING, CHINA

The Chinese capital, Beijing, reported 36 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday, bringing the total number to 79 according to the National Health Commission. Authorities have imposed a lockdown on 11 residential compounds in southwestern Beijing. The outbreak is thought to have originated at a large food market in the Fengtai district of the City.
