TRUMP IMPEACHMENT TRIAL
WASHINGTON DC, USA | 17 JANUARY 2020 - ONGOING
The U.S. Senate has opened the impeachment trial into President Donald Trump. The chief justice of the United States John Roberts arrived Thursday to preside over the trial.
Earlier in the day, House Democrats prosecuting the case stood before the Senate and formally read the articles of impeachment against Trump.
Trump faces a charge that he abused his presidential power by pressuring Ukraine to investigate Democratic rival Joe Biden, using military aid to the country as leverage. Trump was also charged with obstructing Congress’ ensuing probe.

Impeachment Vote and State of the Union

WASHINGTON, D.C., UNITED STATES
President Trump will deliver the State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress on February 4th. The address will take place one day before the Senate holds a final vote to acquit President Trump on the two articles of impeachment. White House officials have had to accept the fact that President Trump will deliver his address to the nation before the Senate trial concludes.
Eurovision will offer standup positions from the Cannon Rotunda of U.S. Capitol on February 4th and 5th.
