PEACE CONFERENCE ON LIBYA
The German Government to host an international peace conference on Libya at the Chancellery.
On Tuesday Chancellor Angela Merkel invited the United States, Russia, Great Britain, France, China, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Republic of the Congo, Italy, Egypt, Algeria, as well as the United Nations, the European Union, the African Union and the Arab League. Libyan Prime Minister Al-Sarraj and General Haftar were also invited to Berlin.

Berlin Libya Talks

BERLIN, GERMANY
High-level talks on Libya will take place in Berlin on Sunday January 19th. The meeting will be hosted by German Chancellor Angela Merkel who recently expressed hope that the joint efforts by Russia and Turkey pressing for a ceasefire between warring parties will be successful. First level representatives of U.S., Russia, U.K., France, China, Turkey, UAE, Republic of Congo, Italy, Egypt, Algeria, the United Nations, European Union, African Union, and the Arab League are expected to attend.
