Iran Parliamentary Elections

TEHRAN, IRAN
The Iranian legislative election will take place on February 21. Iranians are called to polls to elect members for the country's Parliament 290 seats. The election comes as the nation is still under international sanctions and there is public discontent over mass disqualification of candidates. The United States Congress has recently ramped up the pressure on the Iranian government passing a unanimous resolution in support of pro-democracy protests.
