Kosovo Elections

PRISTINA, KOSOVA

Almost 2 million Kosovars will have the right to vote in parliamentary elections on 6 October. The EU’s foreign policy chief announced that the bloc was sending a 61-member team of observers to Kosovo. Ramush Haradinaj, Kosovo's Prime Minister resigned in July after being summoned as a suspect before a war crimes tribunal in The Hague. Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008. In 2013 the two countries agreed to EU-sponsored talks.
