GLOBAL CLIMATE STRIKE
NEW YORK CITY, USA | 20 SEPTEMBER 2019

Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to join worldwide demonstrations this week ahead of a U.N. climate summit in New York, as unions and some businesses lend their support for faster action to fight climate change.

Organizers say the planned "global climate strike" Friday will see rallies in Australia, Japan, India, South Africa, most European countries, the United States and elsewhere.

World leaders at the U.N. will present their long-term plans for curbing greenhouse gas emissions.
