Ukraine Presidential Elections

KIEV, UKRAINE

The second round of presidential elections in the Ukraine between Volodymyr Zelenskiy and incumbent president Petro Poroshenko will be held on April 21. With 73 percent of ballots counted from the March 31 election, Zelenskyy was on course for a strong first-place finish with 30.4 percent of the vote, according to results from the Central Election Commission. Poroshenko was well behind with 16.1 percent, followed by former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who had 13.2 percent.
