BRAZIL'S FORMER PRESIDENT MICHEL TEMER ARRESTED

A judge in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday issued an arrest warrant for ex-President Michel Temer, who is being investigated in several corruption cases.

Officials declined to specify the charges.

Globo Television reported that the former president was being escorted by police in Sao Paulo to an airport, to then be brought to Rio de Janeiro.


The Associated Press is now operational from the panoramic glass studio at AP's Rio de Janeiro bureau.

Depending on affiliate interest, AP will set up remote live positions in Rio de Janeiro, at the location where Temer will be taken.
