European Union leaders will meet on November 25, to endorse the divorce deal with Britain and a political declaration on the future relationship, the chairman of EU summits Donald Tusk said on Thursday (November 15).
“If nothing extraordinary happens, we will hold a European Council meeting in order to finalise and formalise the Brexit agreement. It will take place on Sunday, November 25th at 0900 a.m.,” Tusk told reporters after meeting EU chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier.

EU SUMMIT ON BREXIT
BRUSSELS, BELGIUM | 25 NOVEMBER 2018
European Union chief Donald Tusk has called for a summit of EU leaders to take place in Brussels on November 25 so they can endorse a draft Brexit deal that has been reached with the British government.
British Prime Minister Theresa May is trying to win domestic support for the deal within her fractured party and among other political factions in Westminster.
The deal must first be approved by EU leaders at the summit and then later backed by a majority of UK lawmakers so that Britain can leave the EU on March 29, 2019.
