On November 2 Angela Merkel will come to Poland for the intergovernmental consultations. She will meet with her Polish counterpart PM Mateusz Morawiecki.

German Chancelro will be accompanied by 14 ministers. Previous intergovenmental consultations between two countries took place in 2016. The argument over Nord Stream II pipeline is background of the talks. According to Poland the Nord Stream 2 pipeline is a bad deal for the European Union and a bad deal for Eastern European states, and it should not go ahead. It will lead to the monopoly of gas suplies and energetic dependency to Russia. Germany replies that this is a strictly economic project without any political meaning.
