Kavanaugh Hearing
27/09/2018

WASHINGTON, D.C., UNITED STATES

Hearings are scheduled for Thursday on Capitol Hill for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford who has accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her when they were teenagers. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has dismissed the claim and accused Democrats of a "smear campaign," despite a second woman coming forward with a similar allegation. Kavanaugh was expected to be easily confirmed to the nation's top court prior to the allegations.

KAVANAUGH, FORD TO TESTIFY ON THURSDAY
WASHINGTON DC, USA | 27 SEPTEMBER 2018
The Senate Judiciary Committee will hear a testimony on Thursday from Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault from decades ago, according to two people briefed on the matter.

The tentative accord could bring to a close days of high-stakes brinkmanship that have roiled Washington ahead of midterm elections and threated to jeopardize Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the court. The delay makes it increasingly difficult for Kavanaugh to win approval by Oct. 1, when the new session of the Supreme Court begins.

The Associated Press will provide live facilities in Washington, DC at the following permanent live standup locations
