The death toll from Sunday’s magnitude 7.0 earthquake that struck the Indonesian islands of Bali and Lombok has risen to 82.

The National Disaster Mitigation Agency said early on Monday thousands of people had been evacuated from buildings to outdoor shelters.

Sunday’s earthquake triggered panic among holidaymakers and residents.
