FRANCE CELEBRATIONS - FIFA WORLD CUP 2018 CHAMPIONS

France are celebrating their second World Cup win in 20 years. Les Bleus beat Croatia 4-2 in the FIFA World Cup Final in Moscow on Sunday. The triumphant team will land in Paris today and parade the World Cup trophy through the packed streets of the French capital.

The celebrations turned violent last night when dozens of vandals clashed with police and destroyed local shop fronts on the Champs Elysees.

WORLD CUP FINAL REACTIONS
PARIS, FRANCE, 15 JULY 2018

Tens of thousands of French football fans are expected to gather in central Paris on Sunday 15 July to watch their national team play Croatia in the 2018 Russia World Cup Final.

Supporters will view the hotly anticipated match on giant screens in the Champ de Mars, next to the Eiffel Tower, to see who will lift the coveted golden trophy in Moscow.

France are bidding to win the tournament for the second time, having previously triumphed on home turf in 1998, while Croatia are contending the title for the first time in their history.

Wild celebrations are expected in Paris, should France win.
