TRUMP FIRES TILLERSON
WASHINGTON, DC

President Trump has announced via tweet that he is firing Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and replacing him with CIA Director Mike Pompeo. According to a Washington Post report, President Trump made the decision last Friday, causing Tillerson to cut short a diplomatic trip to Africa. The relationship between Trump and Tillerson has often been categorized as strained and Tillerson was reportedly not told in advance of the decision by President Trump to agree to a meeting with Kim Jong Un. Trump also confirmed that Gina Hapsel will take control at the CIA.
