TRUMP TO HOST MACRON FOR STATE VISIT
WASHINGTON DC, USA | 23-25 APRIL 2018

US President Trump will be hosting French President Emmanuel Macron in Washington on April 24.

Macron will be welcomed to the White House with a South Lawn arrival ceremony. He’ll also be the honored guest at a glitzy state dinner.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that Trump and first lady Melania Trump will host Macron and his wife at a private dinner at Mount Vernon on the first night of their visit.

President Macron will also address a joint meeting of Congress on April 25th. It's been more than a decade since a president from France has addressed Congress, but Macron's meeting would follow a tradition of foreign leaders appearing at the U.S. Capitol.
