ABDESLAM TRIAL CONTINUES
BRUSSELS, BELGIUM
8 FEBRUARY 2018

The only surviving suspect from the 2015 Paris terror attacks refused to speak in a Belgian court, where his trial over the gunfight that led to his arrest began on Monday 5 February.

The trial, which was due to last 4 days (from Monday to Friday, with a break on Wednesday) will resume on Thursday 8 February, as Salah Abdeslam's lawyer, Sven Mary, has requested a delay in order to study the prosecution case. The whole process could be accelerated due to Abdeslam's silence and could therefore end on that same day.
