Poland will play with Italy in the Group 3 of the top League A of the UEFA Nations League. The home game for Poland will take place on October 14. Portugal is also playing in Group 3.
UEFA Nations League is a new copetition format, designed to replace most international friendlies in Europe. The winner of the group will advance to the Nations League finals in June 2019 along with the winners of three other League A groups, while the loser will be relegated to League B. Nations League also offers an alternative path for teams to qualify for the Euro 2020 championships.
