An important historical change is upcoming in Cuba. After almost 60 years with a man named Castro in power, Cuba will now elect a new president on April 19th, 2018.

Since 1959 and for almost half a century, Fidel Castro ruled the island nation; for the past decade, it has been his brother Raul Castro. Together, their mandate defined modern Cuba and shaped Latin America through the Cold War and beyond.

For this monumental moment in the history of Cuba and the region, The Associated Press will provide broadcast facilities in Havana:

AP HAVANA BUREAU
Multiple stand-up positions are available at our permanent bureau, located in the 'old Havana' area with 180 degree views of the city.

ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS
