Hungary’s Fidesz party has secured a third successive election victory on the back of record turnout. It seems likely to win another two-thirds majority allowing it to change the constitution.
“This has been a decisive win . . . In the future we are going to be able to defend Hungary,” Mr Orban told a crowd of Fidesz supporters last night. In his first television interview after the election he said he wants to see a "strong Europe".
