President Doris Leuthard will travel to Sofia on Thursday, 2 November. Bulgaria will assume the presidency of the EU Council in the first half of 2018. In addition to bilateral issues, the talks with President Rumen Radev and Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will focus primarily on European issues, such as Switzerland’s policy towards the European Union, the priorities of Bulgaria’s first EU Council presidency, migration issues and the UK’s withdrawal from the EU
