Spanish government reaction to the Catalonia constitutional crisis.

Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy is holding an emergency cabinet meeting to discuss the government's next response to the developing constitutional crisis. In initial responses yesterday, the Spanish government rejected the statement of independence signed by the Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont and dismissed calls for mediation. Following this morning's cabinet meeting, Prime minister Rajoy will address the Spanish parliament.
