The French president, Emmanuel Macron, is to mark 100 days in office. In November 2016, Macron declared that he would stand in the presidential election under the banner of En Marche!, a centrist political movement he founded in April 2016. He subsequently won the election on 7 May 2017. At the age of 39, Macron became the youngest president in the history of France.
