The Love Parade criminal trial is set to begin on December 8, 2017 at the Congress Centre in Düsseldorf.
The organisers of the Love Parade festival will stand trial in connection with the deaths of 21 people in a crush in 2010. Ten people (four staff of festival organizer Lopavent and six Duisburg city administrators) will face charges of negligent manslaughter and causing bodily harm.
On 24 July 2010, 21 people died in a mass panic at the Love Parade festival in the German city of Duisburg. The victims included people from Spain, Australia, China, Italy, the Netherlands and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
