ESTONIAN PRESIDENCY OF THE COUNCIL OF THE EU: INFORMAL MEETING OF EMPLOYMENT, SOCIAL POLICY AND HEALTH MINISTERS TALLINN, ESTONIA 19-21 JULY 2017 Estonia is currently holding the presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2017. An inclusive and sustainable Europe that supports the creation of equal opportunities for work, as well the development of skills and access to services is a priority of the Estonian Presidency. Focusing on the modernisation of legislation in order to support the free movement of workers and persons, and to ensure equal opportunities in the labour market and in societal life. We welcome the European Commission’s proposal on the European pillar of social rights. We also consider the debate on the future of Europe, and the diverse and considered treatment of the social dimension of Europe, to be of great importance. The free movement of persons is one of the fundamental pillars of the European Union (EU). Therefore, we will pay special attention to the draft legislation supporting it during our Presidency. We will continue the work on updating and simplifying social security coordination regulations, which was started during the Maltese Presidency. These rules make it possible for the people who go to work and live in other countries to retain the social security rights they are entitled to. The session will be followed by a working lunch, reserved exclusively for the heads of delegations of EU member states and a representative of the Commission. www.eu2017.ee/" target="_blank">https://www.eu2017.ee/ EUROVISION Special Events, in cooperation with host broadcaster ERR, will offer the following broadcast production and transmission facilities onsite: • HD / SD Standup position for Live programme inserts • Connectivity to the Eurovision Global Network For bookings and information, please contact: Eurovision Special Events tel +41 22 717 2840 newsoperations@eurovision.net
