Rome, March 8th

This year, March 8th's International Women's day turns into the International Women strike, a demonstration that will take place in about 40 countries worldwide.

For 24 hours, women will abstain from work and from domestic chores. In Italy, feminist movement "Non una di meno" (Not one less) has called for a massive public and private strike of all female workers to fight for equality and human rights. During the strike, several sit-ins, rallies, concerts and events will take place in Rome. A big march will start from the Colosseum at 16:00 GMT.
