The trial of 50 suspects accused of plotting to assassinate Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the July 15 coup attempt is taking place in Mugla, southern Turkey. The suspects, mainly soldiers are facing possible life sentences, charged on assassination and overthrowing the constitutional order.
