The Institute of National Remembrance presented a graphological analysis of the recently discovered documents made by specialists from a renowned state-run forensic research institute that confirms that Lech Wałęsa, the former leader of the Solidarity trade union collaborated with Poland's communist-era authorities in 1970-76. The experts concluded that documents signed by a collaborator codenamed “Bolek” were in handwriting the same as that of Wałęsa.

Walesa claims that the allegationa are 'lies'. He previously admitted that he had “made a mistake” in the past, but denied that he was ever a paid secret agent who collaborated with the communist regime.

The experts were analysing files found in the house of communist-era Interior Minister general Czesław Kiszczak following his death in late 2015. The documents allegedly contained a personal file of the secret collaborator 'Bolek'.
