President of Poland Andrzej Duda will visit Zagan military base to attend the first Polish-US military exercises after the first deployment of US armored brigade combat team arrived to Poland earlier this month. US embasador to Poland Paul Jones, Deputy Commander, United States European Command Timothy M. Ray and commanding general of United States Army Europe Ben Hodges will also attend the exercises. This deployment, which includes around 3,500 U.S. troops, marks the first-ever continuous deployment to the region by a NATO ally. The presence of US troops - as well as multinational NATO corps expected in Poland and Baltic states later this year - is casued by military aggression of Russia in Ukraine in 2014.
