WOMEN'S MARCH ON WASHINGTON WASHINGTON DC, USA | 21 JANUARY 2017 A day after Donald Trump’s inauguration, women will descend on the nation’s capital to demand that the new administration treat women’s rights as human rights. Approximately 200,000 people have said on social media that they’ll take part in the Women’s March on Washington, a movement born from a Facebook page started after Trump’s election. Organizers say they’re calling on all defenders of human rights to join them. The march comes more than 100 years after thousands of women gathered in Washington to demand a greater political voice as President Woodrow Wilson took power. The Associated Press will set up live broadcast positions at the march, starting Saturday morning. Exact address will be advised shortly.
