Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend the opening ceremony of the Eurasia tunnel, a road tunnel under the Bosphorus bridge between Europe and Asia.
The 5.4 km connects Kazlicesme on the European and Goztepe on the Asian part of Istanbul on a 14.6 hm route, crossing the Bosphorus beneath the seabed. Its aim is to alleviate Istanbul’s traffic, bringing the journey time from 100 minutes to 15 minutes.
