The appeal trial will take place from 12 to 21 of December 2016. Antoine Deltour and Raphaël Halet have both decided to appeal against their respective verdict. Late July, the Prosecutor of Luxembourg also appealed the verdict, in order to ensure a full fledge trial and avoid truncating the case. Consequently, the journalist Edouard Perrin has to be judged again, while previously acquitted
