IMF Managing Director and former French Finance Minister Lagarde is due to go on trial for negligence for her role in a scandal involving a questionable settlement with businessman Bernard Tapie.
On July 22, Lagarde lost an appeal over whether the process would have to go to trial. (Info): The trial is scheduled to last until December 20, at the latest. After the opening day, proceedings begin each day at 9am CEST.
