The U.S. Presidential Inauguration Ceremony will take place in Washington DC on Friday January 20th 2017.


The Associated Press plans to offer broadcast facilities from the following locations:

• U.S. CAPITOL – West front media riser positions
(during the inaugural ceremony, side view of the ceremony) with access to a warming trailer/basic workspace (swearing in @ 1700GMT) Credentials needed

• 101 CONSTITUTION AVENUE - Weather protected rooftop overlooking the Capitol:
Single & multi-camera switched positions, limited workspace. No credentials needed.

• LAFAYETTE PARK - Standup positions at the White House, infront of the Presidential reviewing stand. The President generally arrives at this location late in the day 2100GMT approx. Credentials needed

• ROOF OVERLOOKING WHITE HOUSE - No credentials needed

• AP WASHINGTON BUREAU – chromakey studios, workspace with access to pool and AP video. No credentials needed

Depending on affiliate interest, we will also offer:
• FREEDOM PLAZA – standup positions along the parade route - Credentials needed


CREDENTIALS:
The Associated Press can submit credentials on your behalf.
Deadline is December 13th at 1700ET/2200GMT. No late submissions will be accepted.
Note only affiliates working with The Associated Press during Inauguration will be accredited under the AP umbrella.

On Friday, January 20th, Donald J. Trump will be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States. Trump will replace Barack Obama in the White House following an inaugural ceremony that began with George Washington. President-elect Trump will be sworn in and take the Oath of Office on the steps of the U.S. Capitol followed by a lunch before he begins the parade down Pennsylvania Avenue, eventually ending up at the White House viewing stand.

Eurovision Americas will offer extensive production and transmission facilities to enable coverage of this historic occasion, including:

• Multiple 2-camera switched stand-up positions from the Newseum roof terrace with a wide-open view of the Capitol (available January 19th-20th)
• Multiple single-camera stand-up positions from the Newseum roof terrace with a view of the Capitol for presenting or correspondent stand-ups
• Single camera stand-up positions from the Newseum 2nd floor terrace (available January 20th)
• Multiple 2-camera switched stand-up positions overlooking the White House (available January 19th-21st)
• Multiple single-camera standup-up positions overlooking the White House
• Single camera positions from the Capitol steps, allowing correspondents to report from the ceremony (available January 20th, Capitol credentials required)

The inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the USA will take place on January 20, 2017.

President-elect Trump will be sworn in to office at the US Capitol building in Washington DC. The ceremony will be followed by a parade along Pennsylvania Avenue which will be lined with thousands of spectators. Once the new president's entourage arrives at the White House, he will watch proceedings from a viewing stand on the North Lawn of his new home. Celebrations will continue into the evening with a series of balls taking place across the Capital.
