Thousands of women will gather outside Polish Parliament in Warsaw to protest against a proposed new law that would criminalise nearly all abortions. The action is organised under the slogan "Jokes are over! My body, my choice". Current abortion laws in Poland only allow the procedure in cases of foetal abnormality, rape and incest or if there is a risk to the health of the mother. The new law that is now beging discussed in the parliament could introduce even thougher rules. If passed, the legislation would introduce jail sentences of up to five years for causing "the death of a conceived child".
